let
p=profit
s=selling price
c=cost price
so the selling price is doubled so s' =2s
the profit is tripled that means p' =3p
We know p=s-c
so p'=s'-c
i.e. 3p=2s-c--------1
p=s-c ..... put value of p in eq---1
so. 3(s-c) =2s-c
3s-3c=2s-c
3s-2s=3c-c
s=2c
p%=(selling price-cost price)/cost price*100
=(2c-c)/c*100
= c/c*100
= 1*100
profit%=100%
