Statements :-

Profit earned by selling one pen = ₹2

Loss incurred by selling one pencil = 40 paise.

Profit earned by selling 45 pens = 45×2

= ₹90

Loss incurred = ₹5

Solution =

90 - X = -5

X = -95

So, a loss of 95 has incurred while selling pencils.

No. if pencils sold = 95 / 0.40

= 237.5

SHE SOLD 237.5 PENCILS IN THIS PERIOD.

SOLUTION :-

237.5 pencils...
