If he gets a profit of 1 Rs. per pen then he gets a profit of 1*45 for 45 pens.
If he still incurs a loss of 5 Rs. then the loss incurred due to the pencils is equal to 5-(-45)=50 ( profit is negative loss)
For each pencil if he loses 20p then if he is losing 50 Rs or 50*100=5000p he should have sold 5000/20 =250 pencils.
