a shopkeeper earns a profit of rs 3 by selling one apple and incurs a loss of RS 2 on an orange in October he incurred a loss of RS 6 in this period he sold 12 apples how many oranges did he sell

Answer of this question is He sold 21 oranges
first the cost of12 apples is 3 × 12 =36
he has loss of 6
that means
36 = 2x - 3
36/2=-3+x
18=-3+x
18 +3 =x
21 is the no. of oranges

umasrinivas: see here u send me 2x-3=36 then how x-3=36/2 as per ur eq. 2x=36+3then 2x=39 so x=39/2
