Net Result = Loss - Profit

Net loss = ₹5

Profit per pen = ₹1

Loss per pencil = ₹0.3

suppose he sold n pencils.

5 = 0.3n - 40×1

5+40 = 0.3n

n = 45/0.3 = 150

He sold 150 pencils that month
