A shopkeeper gain 25% after allowing 20% discount on his articles. But customer wants
10% more discount after 20%. Shopkeeper agreed but now he uses 10% less weight at the
time of selling. Calculate the new profit% of the shopkeeper.​

⇒   Discount = 20% ;  S.P = Rs.1,440;  Profit = 25%

⇒   We have to find Market price.

⇒   Discount = 10020×x=5x

⇒   Selling Price = Market Price - Discount.

⇒   1440=x−5x

⇒   1440=55x−x

⇒   1440=54x

⇒   x=Rs.1,800

∴    Market price is Rs.1,800.
