let the number of pencils he sells be x. He has gained 45 ruppees by buying 45 pens . Loss= Loss by sales of x pencils- gain acquired by selling 45 pens => 5= 0.45(x)-45=> 50= 0.45 (x) => x=50/(45/100)=5000/45=1000/9=111.11 So not possible Hope you understand the solution .Mark me as Brainliest if you do think i am worth of it .
