If shopkeeper sell 125 pencils then he loses 125×40=5000 paise i.e Rs.50 and 45 pens gave him profit of Rs.45
then 50-45=5 rs he loses in all.
Therefore total no.of pencils sold by him is 125.
Let A=total pencil sold
40×A-4500=5000
40×A=5000
A=125
then 50-45=5 rs he loses in all.
Therefore total no.of pencils sold by him is 125.
Let A=total pencil sold
40×A-4500=5000
40×A=5000
A=125

hey friend
No. of pen sells=45
.
therefore profit = 45×1=45rs.
loss on x pencil = x ×.40=0.40x rs.
a/q. =
=>0.40x-45rs=5
=>0.40x = 50rs
=>x=50/0.40
=>x=125______answer
