price of pen = 120 rs
As he ended up losing 30 at end.
let's no of pencil sold is x.
then,
120-x(0.6)= -30
-x(0.6)= -30-120
-x(0.6)= -150
x(0.6)= 150
x = 150/0.6
x = 250
Hence he sold 250 pencil
