Market price(MP) = Rs. 1200

discount (in percentage) = 12.5%

discount (in rupees) = 12.5% of MP

= 12.5/100 × 1200

= 125/1000 × 1200

= 12.5 × 12

= 150

so,

The selling price(SP) = MP - discount

= 1200 - 150

= Rs 1050
