a shopkeeper had some oranges. He sold 30% of it and was left with 140 oranges. Find the number of oranges he originally had.

70% = 140
1% = 140/70= 2
100% = 2 × 100= 200 will be the answer

sold= 30%
remaining= 100-30=70%
according to question
70%=140
1%=2
so 100%=2×100=200 original quantity
