Cost of one book for all=125

Shopkeeper's total cash(He can buy 40 books)= 40*125

= 5000

He gets a discount of Rs.25 on each book. So, the cost of one book for shopkeeper is (125–25) = 100

Total number of books which he can buy= Total cash on hand/cost of one book for shopkeeper

=5000/100

=50

He can buy 50 books.

Step-by-step explanation:

Money he had to buy 60 books = ₹150 × 60

=₹9,000

Cost of book after discount = ₹150 -₹30

= ₹120

Books he could buy after discount =9,000/120

= 75 books
