A shopkeeper in Rajasthan buys an article at the printed price of ₹40000 from a wholesaler in Delhi. The shopkeeper sells the article to a consumer in Rajasthan at a profit of 25% on the basic cost price. If the rate of GST is 18% find -
i) the price of the article inclusive tax under GST.
ii) the amount of tax (under GST) paid by the shopkeeper to the Government.
iii) the amount of tax (under GST) recieved by the Delhi to the Government.
iv) the amount of tax (under GST) recieved by the Central Government.
v) the amount which the consumer pays for the article

(i) The article buys at the printed price ₹40000

GST-18 percentage

therefore , 18%of 40000

18by 100*40000=7200

Cost price of article to shopkeeper +GST paid by shopkeeper =40000+7200=47200

INPUT IGST of the shopkeeper =₹7200

(ii) 25%of 40000

25by100*40000=₹10000

40000+10000=₹50000

therefore CGST =18% of 50000

18/100*50000=9000

9000/2 = 4500

CGST=SGST =₹4500
