Solution :-

Let us assume that, the original price of chair is Rs. 100x .

So,

→ Increased price = (118 * 100x)/100 = Rs. 118x .

now,

→ Discount = 25% .

then,

→ SP = (118x * 75)/100 = Rs. 88.50x .

→ 88.50x = 1770

→ x = 20

hence,

→ Original price = 100x = 100 * 20 = Rs. 2000 (Ans.)
