Answer:

The price of the saree is increased and the increased percentage is 3.5%.

Given:

A shopkeeper increased the price of a saree from Rs 2000 by 15%. He sold the saree at 10% less of the increased price.

To find:

The percentage increased or decreased in the price of the same.

Solution:

Increased price of the saree =\frac{15}{100} \times 2000=300

Increased price = 2000 + 300 = 2300

10% less of the increased price =\frac{10}{100} \times 2300=230

Hence the final price = 2300 – 230 = 2070.

Hence 70 rupees is the profit,  which is \frac{70}{2000} \times 100=3.5 \%

Result:

The increased percentage is 3.5%.
