Given :   A shopkeeper keeps Vikramulya increasing by 28.56% and he also gives a discount of 27.27% if he steals 16.66% while buying and 44.44% when selling

To find :   total profit percentage.

Solution:

Let say Cost Price  = C

28.56%  =  200/7

Marked Price = C + (200/700)C  = 9C/7

Discount 27.27% = 300/11  %

Selling Price = (9C/7) (1 - 300/1100)  =  72C/77

=> cheats 44.44% = 400/9 %

=> 5 /9    gets him  72C/77

=> 1  gets him = (72C/77 )(9/5)  = 648C/385

he steals 16.66%

in C  he get  ( 1 +  16.66/100) = 6/7

hence actual cost price = 6C/7

Cost Price  = 6C/7

gets  = 648C/385

Profit  = 648C/385  - 6C/7   = 318C/385

Profit %  =  100 *  (318C/385)/(6C/7)   = 96.36 %

total profit percentage. = 96.36 %
