A shopkeeper makes a loss of 6% by selling a pair of jeans for 564. What will be his profit
or loss per cent if he sells it for 675?​

Let x be the cost price of jeans.

Selling price of jeans =Rs.564

Therefore,

x− 1006×x=564x(1− 503 )=564

⇒x= 47564×50

=600

Thus the cost price of jeans is Rs.600.

Now, if the shopkeeper sell it for Rs.675,

Profit =675−600=Rs.75

Profit percent = 60075×100=12.5
