Cost price = 450

To make 16% profit he should sell the chair at Selling price which is 16% more of 450.

i.e,

Selling price = Cost price + 16% of cost price

 = 450 +  \frac{16}{100}  \times 450 \\  \\  = 450 +  \frac{16}{10}  \times 45 \\  \\  = 450 +  \frac{720}{10}  \\  \\  = 450 + 72 \\  \\  = 522 \: rupees

Therefore selling price should be Rs 522.
