let assume Cp be 100
marked price=25/100*100=25
he marked 25% above Cp so 125 is the marked price
16% discount means =(16/100)*125=20
so 20 rupees is discount
125-20=105
cp=100
after discount we get sp=105
gain=sp-cp
=105-100=5
gain %=(5/100)*100
=5%
