So (X-10%)= y+325

0.9X= Y+325

Substituting above equation of X

0.9( Y+40%)=Y+325

0.9(1.4Y)=Y+325

1.26Y-Y=325

0.26Y= 325

Y= 1250

Thus, Y=1250 and X= 1250+40%= 1750
