Let,

The C.P be Rs. x

The M.P be Rs. y

Gain % = 50%

S.P = 100/100+50 × x

= 32x

Discount = 25%

Discount = 25% of y

= 25/100 × y

= Rs. 0.25y

S.P = M.P – discount

= y- 0.25y

= 0.75 y

Also, S.P = 32x

Comparing both the values for S.P we get,

32x = 0.75yx/y

C.P : M.P = 1:2
