\sf\large\underline{Given:}

  • \rm{The\:marked\: price=Rs.550}
  • \rm{Discount=10\%}
  • \rm{Still\: shopkeeper\: gain=Rs.75}

\sf\large\underline{To\: Find:}

  • \rm{Hom\:much\%\:mp\:is\: more\:than\:cp}

\sf\large\underline{Solution:}

  • [At 1st calculate selling price after that cost price than calculate for final answer:-]

\sf\large\underline{Formula\: used:}

\rm{\implies SP=MP(\dfrac{100-D\%}{100})}

\rm{\implies SP=550(\dfrac{100-10}{100})}

\rm{\implies SP=550*\dfrac{90}{100}}

\rm\purple{\implies SP=Rs.495}

  • [Now find out the cost price here]

\rm{\implies CP=SP-P}

\rm{\implies CP=495-75}

\rm\purple{\implies CP=Rs.420}

\sf\large\underline{Now,\:we\: have:}

  • \rm{The\: marked\: price=Rs.550}
  • \rm{The\:cost\: price=Rs.420}

[Now, calculate how much%mp>cp here]

\rm{\implies P\%=\dfrac{MP-CP}{CP}*100}

\rm{\implies P\%=\dfrac{550-420}{420}*100}

\rm{\implies P\%=\dfrac{130}{420}*100}

\rm\orange{\implies P\%=30.95\%}

Hence,

  • The required answer is 30.95%

Question:-

A shopkeeper marks the price of an article Rs 550 and gives customer a discount of 10% in this way he gains Rs75 on the article how much percent will the Marked price be more than the cost price

Solution:-

Mp=550

D=10%

P=75

Sp=550×90/100

Sp=495

Cp=Sp-p

Cp=495-75

CP=420

NOW, calculate p%

p=550-420=130

p%=130/420×100

P%=30.95

therefore,Mp is 30.95\% is more than cp
