TO DETERMINE
The profit percentage
EVALUATION
Here it is given that A shopkeeper mixes 5 packets of 2 kg rice costing ₹25/kg
So total amount of rice = ( 5× 2 ) kg = 10 kg
So the total price of 10 kg rice
= ₹ ( 10 × 25 )
= ₹ 250
Also 3 packets of 5 kg rice costing ₹30/kg
So total amount of rice = ( 5× 3 ) kg = 15 kg
So the total price of 15 kg rice
= ₹ ( 15 × 30 )
= ₹ 450
So total amount of the mixture
= ( 10 + 15 ) kg
= 25 kg
Total price
= ₹ ( 250 + 450 )
= ₹ 700
Now he sells the mixture at ₹35/kg
Total selling price
= ₹ ( 35 × 25 )
= ₹ 875
∴ Total profit
= ₹ ( 875 - 700 )
= ₹ 175
Hence the profit percentage
