A shopkeeper mixes two varieties of tea costing rs 41.5/kg and rs 46/kg in the ratio 4:5.If hesells the mixture at the rate of rs 49/kg,then find the profit%? Mixture and allegation

Answer:

let tea are 4xand 5x kg

then 41.5×4=166.0

and 46×5=230

he purchase 9kg in rs.166+230=rs.396

now he sell 9kg @49/kg

then new s.p.=

49×9=rs. 441

profit =s.p_c.p

=441_396

=45

profit %= profit ×100/c.p

45×100/396

=125/11

=11×4/11%
