Answer:- ₹200

Solution :-

=> Let the cost price of the item be ₹x

=> Profit% = 17%

=> S.P = ₹ 117/100 %

=> M.P of the item = ₹260, Discount% = 10%

=> Discount = 10% of 260 = 10/100 × 260 = ₹26

=> therefore, S.P = M.P - Discount = ₹(260-26) = ₹234

=> we get , 117x/100 = 234

=> x= 234×100/117 = ₹200

=> so, Cost price of the item = ₹200 answer
