Answer:

Solutions :-

Given :

Marked price of an article = Rs 600

Discount = 12%

Find the Selling price of an article :-

S.P = M.P - discount % of M.P

= 600 - 12% of 600

= 600 - 0.12 × 600

= 600 - 72

= 528

Find the cost price of an article at the profit of 20% :-

C.P = (S.P × 100)/(100 + Profit)

= (528 × 100)/(100 + 20)

= 52800/120

= 440

Hence,

The actual cost of an article = Rs 440
