price=480
after giving 5% discount it will be
480÷100=4.8
so for 5℅=4.8×5=24

so 480-24=456.

and now 2% discount agsin for paying in cash

so 456÷100=4.56

4.56×2=9.12

so
456-9.12=446.88

so final price he actually has to pay is 446.88

If u hv any queries related this ans then comment....if not then give thank you.

ikhan201070: rahul purchased a geyser for rs. 4536 including VAT. if the original price of the geyser is rs. 4200, find the rate of VAT.
ikhan201070: please do this
eduatulrajp3br2d: 4536-4200=336. so vat=336..... 4200÷100%=42... so now 336÷42=8%. vat will be 8%
ikhan201070: u r very good person
ikhan201070: thanks
eduatulrajp3br2d: u r always welcome
ikhan201070: a camera is available for rs. 1391 inclusive of VAT @ 7%. Find its original price. what will be its price if the rate of VAT changes to 12 % ?
eduatulrajp3br2d: 1391÷107=13. so..13×12=156.(new vat at 12%).... now 1391+156=1547..will be ans. 1547(after adding vat of 12%)
eduatulrajp3br2d: sorry its wrong
eduatulrajp3br2d: its 13×100=1300. and then vat 13×12=156...... so it will be 1456(with 12% vat)....... 1456 will be right ans
