Answer :-

Given that :-

▪️Price paid by shopkeeper = 493

▪️Discount attained on list price = 15%

▪️No of articles = 50

Now as we know

▪️C.P = L.P - Discount %

=> C.P = L.P - 15% of L.P

=> C.P = 85/100 L.P

=> 493 = 85/100 L.P

=> 493 × 100/85 = L.P

=> L.P = 49300/85

=> L.P = 580

=> L.P of 50 articles = 580

=> L.P of 1 item = 580 ÷ 50

=> L.P of 1 item = 11.6

So L.P of one Item is RS. 11.6

Answer:

The list price of an article is 11.60.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

  • A shopkeeper expended 493 for a parcel of 50 articles on which he had been offered a discount of 15%.

To find

  • The list price of an article

Let,

The List Price of 50 articles is  100

Therefore,

Shopkecper will pay $=100-15=85$

Because

When the shopkeeperr pays ₹ 85 then list price =₹ 100

When the shopkeeper pays ₹ 493 then the list price=\frac{100 \times 493}{85}

=2.580

List Price of an article=\frac{580}{50}=11.60.
