Answer:

a) loss Rs 240

Step-by-step explanation:

Cost price of each table = Rs. 500

No of tables purchased = 15

cost price of 15 tables = 15×500 = Rs 7500

Cost price of each chair = Rs 300

No of chairs purchased = 20

cost price of 20 chairs = 300 ×20 = Rs 6000

Selling price of each Table = Rs 380

Selling price of 15 tables = 380 ×15 = Rs5700

Selling price of each chair = Rs 380

Selling Price of 20 chairs = 380 ×20 = Rs 7600

Total Cost price of Tables and chairs =

7500 + 6000 = 13500

Extra expenses = Rs 40 (This is always added with the cost price)

Actual total cost price after adding the extra expenses = 13500 +40 = Rs 13540

Total Selling price = 5700 +7600 = Rs 13300

since total Cost price is more than total selling price so it's a loss...

Loss = Cp - Sp

= 13540 - 13300 = Rs 240

So the answer is option a) loss 240
