A shopkeeper purchased 200 bulbs for rupees 10 each. However 5 bulbs were fused and had to be thrown away. Thhe remaining bulb was sold at rupees 12 each. The gain or loss percentage is:​

Cp of each bulb = rs 10

Total Cp = 10 * 200 = 2000

No of bulbs thrown away = 5

So no of bulbs sold = 195

Sp of each bulb = rs 12

So total sp = 12* 195 = 2340 rupees

Here sp > Cp

So the shopkeeper have gain.

Gain = sp - Cp = 2340 - 2000

= 340

Therefore profit % = profit/cp*100 %

= 340/2000*100 %

= 17%

Ans = The shopkeeper got 17% profit.
