Cp of 400 glasses is 20 each

Cp of 1 glass is 20rs

10 glasses were broken during transportation = 400-10 = 390

Now cp of 390 glass = 390*20=7800

Now he sells 390 glasses for for rs 24 each so now cp of 390 glasses = 390*24 = 9560 rs

Hence there is a gain

Gain = Sp-cp

=9560 -7800 = 1760

Hence gain is 1760 rs

Gain % = (Gain / CP) * 100

Gain % = ( 1760/7800) *100=22.564%

Hope this helps:-)
