Total C.P=400x20=8000

10 of them were discarded so only (400−10)=390 were sold, at a rate of 24 per each bulb.

Total S.P=390x24 =9360
Profit or loss =S.P–C.P=9360–8000= 1,360 (Profit)

Percent profit = Profit/C.P. x 100
=1360/8000 x 100
