C.P = 1000rs. for 2 shirts ( 500 for 1 shirt )
loss on first shirt = 12% i.e. 12/100 of 500= 60rs.
Profit on second shirt =8% i.e. 8/100 of 500=40
so, SP of first shirt ,
SP = CP - Loss
SP = 500 - 60
SP = 440rs.

now SP of second shirt
SP = CP + profit
SP= 500 + 40
SP = 540rs.
So SP of both shirts = 440 + 540 = 980Rs.

prince1015: sorry the ans has Rs 400 and Rs600
