Cost price of 10 pieces of items = ₹8

C.P of 1 piece = 8/10 = 0.8₹

S.P of 8 pieces = ₹10

S.P of 1 piece = 10/8 = 1.25₹

Since,S.P > C.P

therefore,it is profit

Profit = S.P - C.P

= 1.25 - 0.8 = 0.45

Profit % = PROFIT / C.P × 100%

= 0.45 / 0.8 × 100%

=56.25 %

Answer:

10 PIECES = 8 RS( CP )

8 PIECES = 10 RS ( SP)

CP of 1 piece = RS / PIECES

                   = 8/10

                      = 0.8/-

SP of 1 piece = 10/8

                  =1.25

Gain = 1.25 - 0.8 = 0.45

gain % = ( gain /CP) * 100

           (0.45 / 0.8)*100

       = 0.5625*100

      =56.25/-
