A shopkeeper purchases 15 mangoes for Rs. 10 and sells 10 mangoes at the rate of Rs. 15.

Given,

The cost price of 15 mangoes = Rs. 10

Therefore the cost price of 1 mango = 10/15 = Rs. 0.67

The selling price of 10 mangoes = Rs. 15

Therefore the selling price of 1 mango = 15/10 = Rs. 1.5

Since SP > CP

Profit = SP - CP

= 1.5 - 0.67

= 0.83

Profit earned by a shopkeeper per mango is Rs. 0.83

For 10 mangoes the profit earned by a shopkeeper is = 10 × 0.83 = Rs. 8.3
