so CP=SP+loss=3x/4+125
now the 2nd case comes...

so SP=90/100*x

gain=250
CP=SP-gain
=9x/10-250
so CP should remain same i.e
3x/4+125=9x/10-250
125+250=9x/10-3x/4
375=(18x-15x)/20
375=3x/20
x=375*20/3
=2500
so MP=rs 2500
CP=3x/4+125
=3*2500/4+125
=1875+125
=rs 2000
