hey there ?!!

the length of cloth = 100m

and the selling price of cloth per metre = 54/m

therefore,

selling price of total 100 m cloth = 54×100 = 5400 rupees

now , given that he earned a profit of 20%

Therefore,

5400/100×20 = 1080

so the total cost price if cloth = sp of cloth - percentage if profit .

the total cp of cloth = 5400-1080 = 4320

hence total cost price of cloth is 4320 rupees

hope it helps !!
