A shopkeeper sells 1200 g flour for the price of 1 kg. Find what fraction of flour did someone get as profit if 3.5 kg flour was bought?

since, 1200g=1kg

  • 3.5kg=3.5*1200=4200g
  • hence, Man will get 4200g flour for rate of 3.5kg
  • 3.5kg=3.5*1000g=3500g
  • thus, man gets 4200-3500=700g extra at rate of 3.5kg.
