CP = ( sp × 100 ) / (100 + p%)

cp = ( sp × 100 ) / (100 - l%)

SOLUTION :

1st case

sp of refrigerator = Rs 1200

profit of it = 20 %

so,

cp of refrigerator = ( sp × 100 ) /( 100 + p%

= ( 120000 / 120 )

= 1000

Again , ( 2nd case,)

sp of Tv = 1200

loss % = 20 %

cp = ( sp × 100 ) / ( 100 - 20 )

= ( 120000 / 80)

= 1500
