So as per the question, he sells them for 80% of CP, that is:

80/100 ×100= 80(100 divided by 100 is 1)

So SP = ₹80

SP is less than CP. So it's a loss.

Loss= ₹100- ₹80= ₹20

Loss percentage= (Loss/CP) ×100

(20/100) × 100 =20% loss (as 100 divided by 100 is 1& 1×20=20)

Therefore the shopkeeper occurred a loss of 20%.
