The shopkeeper earned a loss of Rs.69.33 on the whole transaction.

In case of jute bags:

Selling price(S.P) of each jute bag= Rs. 100

No. of jute bags= 10

So the total S.P of jute bags= Rs.1000

Profit℅ = 12

As we know,

S.P =[ (Profit%+100)/100] *C.P [ C.P refers to cost price]

So, C.P = (100/112)* 1000

Or, C.P = Rs. 892.86

In case of plastic bottles:

Selling price(S.P) of each plastic bottle= Rs. 10

No. of plastic bottles= 100

So the total S.P of plastic bottles= Rs.1000

Loss℅ = 15

As we know,

S.P =[ (100-Loss%)/100] *C.P

So, C.P = (100/85)* 1000

Or, C.P = Rs. 1176.47

So total money spent by the shopkeeper= C.P of bottle+ C.P of jute bag= Rs. 892.86+ 1176.47 = Rs.2069.33

Total money received = S.P of both the products = Rs 2000

As C.P>S.P, there is loss

Loss= Rs. 2069.33-2000 = Rs. 69.33.
