let no. of pens sold be X and no. of pencils sold be Y

amount of X pens=120X

amount of Y pencils=25Y

TOTAL MONEY =4915

120X+25Y=4915

where X+Y=75

Y=75-X

put this in above equation

120X+25(75-X)=4915

120X+1875-25X=4915

95X=3040

X=32

no, of pens sold="32"

no. of pencils sold=Y=75-X=75-32=43

no. of pencils sold="43"
