A shopkeeper sold a chair for Rs.240 and makes
a profit of 12%. What is the actual profit of the
chair.​

S. P = Rs 240

P% = 12%

So, C.P

 =  \frac{sp \times 100}{100 + p}

 =  \frac{240 \times 100}{112}

 =  \frac{1500}{7}

Therefore, P = S.P - C.P

= 240 - 1500/7

 \frac{1680 - 1500}{7}

 =  \frac{180}{7}

= 25.71
