Selling Price= 1200

Given that there is a loss of ' 8%'

We kNow that

Cost price - loss = selling Price

Loss = Cost price × loss percentage

Let the cost price be 'x'

loss = x × 8% = 0.08x

cost Price - loss = selling Price

x - 0.08x = 1200

0.92x = 1200

x = 1200/0.92

x = 1304 is the cost price

Cost price - loss = Selling price

1304 - loss = 1200

1304 - 1200 = loss

104 = loss
