Answer:

SP of one fan = 1140

then SP of both fan =2280

cp of first fan = 100/100+gain% ×sp

= 100/114×1140= 1000

cp of second fan =100/95×1140 =1200

cp of both fan =1000+1200

=2200

profit= sp-cp

2280-2200 = 80

profit %= 80/2200×100

=3.63 %

Answer:

GAIN = 9%

Step-by-step explanation:

A shopkeeper sold two fan= £1140

One he gain 14% and on other he loss 5%

A/Q,

Sp of first fan = (100+ gain/100)×CP

= (100+14/100)×1140

= £1299.6

SP of second fan=(100-loss/100)×CP

= (100-14/100)×1140

= £1083

Total SP = 1299.6+1083= 2382.6

Total CP= 1140×2 = 2280

( SP > CP )

Gain = SP - CP = 2382.6 - 2280 = 102.6

Gain% = Gain /CP ×100

= 102.6/1140×100

= 9%
