SP of one fan = 1140
then SP of both fan =2280
cp of first fan = 100/100+gain% ×sp
= 100/114×1140= 1000
cp of second fan =100/95×1140 =1200
cp of both fan =1000+1200
=2200
profit= sp-cp
2280-2200 = 80
profit %= 80/2200×100
=3.63 %

Answer:

3.636%

Step-by-step explanation:

Fan 1:

SP = Rs.1140

Gain% = 14%

Formula : CP =\frac{SP \times 100}{100+P\%}

CP =\frac{1140 \times 100}{100+14}

CP =1000

Fan 2:

SP = Rs.1140

Loss% = 5%

Formula : CP =\frac{SP \times 100}{100-L\%}

CP =\frac{1140 \times 100}{100-5}

CP =1200

Total SP = Rs.1140+Rs.1140 = Rs.2280

Total CP = Rs.1000+Rs.1200 = Rs2200

Since SP > CP

So, Profit

Profit% = \frac{SP-CP}{CP} \times 100

Profit% = \frac{2280-2200}{2200} \times 100

Profit% = 3.636\%

Hence  his gain per cent in the whole transaction is 3.636%
