C.P of first fan =( 990×100)÷110= rs900. C.P of second fan =(990×100)÷90=rs1100 Total C.P. = 1100+900 =2000. Total S.P = 990×2=1980 Loss = 2000-1980 =rs20 Loss%= (20×100)÷2000= 1 %

case I
sp=990
profit%=10
so
cp=sp*100/100+p%
=990*100/100+10
99000/110
=900
case II
so=990
loss%=10
cp=sp*100/100-L%
=99000/90
=1100
at last
total sp= 990*2=1980
total cp=900+1100=2000
so. loss%=(cp-sp/cp)*100
=(2000-1980/2000)*100
= 0.01*100
=1
therefore loss% in whole transaction is 1%
