Answer:

Given:

Selling Price of each of the two articles = Rs.9,975

Get a 5% loss on one and 5% gain on another

Concept used:

CP = or

Calculation:

CP of 1st article =

= Rs.9500

CP of 2nd article =

= Rs.10500

The total Cost price of two articles = 10500 + 9500

= Rs.20,000

The total SP of two articles = 9,975 + 9,975

= 19,950

∵ CP > SP

∴ Overall loss is 20,000 - 19,950 i.e Rs.50

If SP is same and equal gain and loss percent is there, then overall always loss occurs and

Loss% =
