Given:

Selling price = Rs. 3000

Loss = Rs. 500

Now,

Loss = Cost price - Selling price

500= C. P. - 3000

500 + 3000 = C. P.

3500 = C. P.

Therefore,

C. P. = Rs. 3500

Given :- Loss = ₹ 500
Selling Price = ₹ 3000

Loss = C.P. - S.P.

500 = C.P. - 3000

500 + 3000 = C.P.

₹ 3500 = C.P.

So, the Cost Price is :-

₹ 3500
