Ruskin Bond was born in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh , on 19th May, 1934.But he grew up in shimla,Jamnagar,Dehradun and Mussoorie.He was the son of Anglo-Indian parents,Aurbey Alexander Bond and Edith Dorothy Clerke.By the age of ten,he had experienced living with Princes and Princesses in Gujarat.He was studing in a boarding school in Dehradun.Even though ,he was an average student in terms of academics.After completing his schooling ,he went to England for further education.There he completed and published his first novel.He spent four years in England,but his heart was back in India where he was born and spent some of his dearest days.
